An important sapphire turtle brooch centering a gem Kashmir sapphire weighing 2.82 carats with strong blue color and plenty of life. Surrounding the sapphire are 10 old-mine cut diamonds, weighing approximately 0.16 carats on average each, depicting the outer shell. The head and the tail are comprised of sapphires.
The brooch is entirely made in platinum, circa 1920.
